Has anyone in the neighborhood experienced damaged or burned out electrical appliances or electronic equipment? We seem to lose power about once every two weeks and have been hit with serious power surges which has cost us several thousand dollars in repairs or replacement of these items. We had one in October or early November which burned out two refridgerators, hot tub, and hvac, among other items. The power company shrugged it off as a problem with our home and said we need an electrician to fix it. We hired an electrician to inspect and all they advised us on was to install a whole house surge protector for 400.00. since then we had another hit which took out our refridgerator again. Any comments?
